Description

The Albatros course at Le Golf National is a beautiful golf course located just a few kilometers from Paris, in Guiancourt. This 18-hole course was designed by famous architects Hubert Chesneau and Robert von Hagge, together with Pierre Thévenin.

Construction of the course began more than 37 years ago, in July 1987, and three years later, on October 5, 1990, it was opened to the public. The opening of the field was officially carried out by Roger Bambach, Minister of Youth and Sports.

Le Golf National can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators and offers a variety of courses to play. The main course, Albatros, is a par 72 and plays 7,331 yards (6,703 m). In addition, the site features the 6,224-yard (5,691 m) par 71 Aigle course and the nine-hole par 32 Oiselet (Birdie) short course.

Le Golf National is the host of the French Open, which is part of the European Tour. This championship is the oldest national open championship in continental Europe and is held at Le Golf National every year, with some exceptions.

In 2018, Le Golf National was chosen to host the Ryder Cup, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of golf.

In addition, in 1994 and 2022, Le Golf National hosted the world golf team championships for men and women - the Eisenhower Trophy and the Espiritu Santo Trophy.

It is important to note that Le Golf National is scheduled to host golf events during the 2024 Olympic Games. The schedule and poster of events at the site can be viewed on our website. Order tickets online quickly and easily.
